Tonight Kellerman and I went to the “free” Cowboys open practice in the brand spankin’ new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. I say “free” because although we were not ticketed patrons we still had to pay $10 for parking, which we split, figuring it would be the cheapest way we will EVER get into this place unless we befriend some seriously rich people soon and we don’t see that happening.
This is a shot of the stadium from our parking spot in lot 13.
Below you will find two shots of the biggest HDTV in the whole world. I am not exaggerating when I say this. I swear from where we were sitting in the second deck, might fine seats I might add, that it was like sitting in front of at least a 75″ screen at home, if not bigger. The proportions for this thing are that dang huge.

This next picture is just a close up of some spare running the spare offense. I don’t think many starters were in this particular lineup.

That’s #16, Jesse Holley, front and center. He was the winner of Michael Irvin’s “so you wanna be a Cowboy” reality show, 4th and Long, that played out earlier this summer on Spike TV. Katie and I really enjoyed watching it, so it wasn’t all bad.

The last two shots are more 60 yard long HDTV gravy. Seriously, you have to see it to believe it. It almost makes you not even want to watch the actual field action in favor of watching it unfold “on the big screen.”

I don’t expect a rap concert to come here in the near future because the sound system would explode every piece of glass in the house. My chest shook from the bass of songs like Boom Boom Pow by the Black Eyed Peas.
The jumbo dog was only $5.50 and souvenir soda $6.00. I’d say that $16.50 on the night to watch some Cowboys action in their brand new stadium wasn’t bad at all. I guarantee you I won’t be going back soon, even with the $29 Party Pass available.
I’m disappointed in you, Jared. You aren’t going to see the Tech v. Baylor game on 11/28 there??? They’ve got $25 student tickets from what I hear. Some fan you are! (and no, Katie possibly going in to labor a week before her due date is no excuse!)
Hahaha, it sure as hell is a good excuse. She already vetoed it even if she’s not going into labor.
Even for you!?! She doesn’t have to go….Tell her you’ll keep your phone on and your bluetooth in. ha!
Yeah, I’m pretty sure she would hate me, but I’ll revisit it and see where that leads me.
