That’s What She Said…

PokerIt was a pretty exhausting weekend, or just an exhausting half of a day and then the hard part was recuperating from that half day. The original plan for Friday night was to see Apocalypto. That changed pretty quickly when the idea of ending the semester the way it began, with , would be a better idea than sitting in silence for a few hours watching a movie. This new change of plans was met with enthusiasm by all.

We began the marathon game at 9pm Friday night and ended it at 6am Saturday morning with neither party admitting defeat, but rather admitting extreme delirium. Pat purchased a sweet 300 chip set and Kevin had received the same set as a wedding gift but in the 500 chip version. We broke into three different sets of chips. Everyone bought back in except for Kevin, if I’m not mistaken.

There were several extremely large sum chip shifting hands, including one nearly 500 chip pot. That one was ridiculous. Next time you see Kevin, ask him if he’s still sore, apparently I hurt him pretty bad on that one. After that Laura and I went back and forth ’til 6am ending with 300 chips to her and 400 chips to me and us splitting the pot $30/$40. I definitely don’t recommend playing nine hour long games of , but it was great fun none the less.

Everyone seems to have headed home for the break already, so everyone’s that’s gone have a great break and a safe return and all those who still have to , be careful and everyone come back in one peace.
