Katie’s New Ride

Katie's 2009 Toyota Matrix

Here is Katie’s brand spankin’ new, as of last night, 2009 Toyota Matrix in Nautical Blue Metallic. It is of the base model variety, 1.8liter, 4 cylinder engine. It will help us save on gas to and from Lubbock for all the Texas home games we have season for. Katie loves having a working A/C now as the norm high temp in the DFW area during the summer is 100+.

Dallas Cowboys Tickets

Katie and I just picked up some to the Dallas and Houston Texans preseason game at Texas Stadium on Aug. 22 at 7pm. The we got were $9 a piece and are in Section 120, Row 18. We are just asking if anyone else would like to join us that we try to go all in one car to help split the crazy parking fees. Let me know!

UPDATE 1: Rob V. has claimed one of the , one is still left!

UPDATE 2: My Dad snatched up the last remaining ticket, we are all booked up now!

Once In A Lifetime Event

Rehearsal Invite

Before Katie and I went to 10+ weddings over the last year and a half I had no idea that there was a rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding after the rehearsal at the . Also, apparently the parents of the groom are supposed to put this on (all things I learned way before my own wedding planning but, still). Since both Katie and I graduated from Texas and the rehearsal dinner is on campus then my mom thought it would be a cool idea to have the invites look like . I agreed and here is the proof that the printers sent me today.

Stars 8 Wild 3

Stars 8 Wild 3

To say that the evening was a Wild one is both cheesy and cliche but I’m going to do it anyways. Tonight’s game was a Wild one for several reasons. One of those reasons was they had their highest scoring game since November ‘05. The other reason was because, well, they were playing the Minnesota Wild. Their fan base is comprised of all the old bitter and booty hurt fans that hated the for leaving them over 10 years ago for Dallas.

I had gotten my Dad some sweet for and he was nice enough to take me. It was great. The scored 3 in the 1st, 1 in the 2nd, and capped it off with 4 more in the 3rd period for that grand total of 8. Total domination. Now as long as the win on Saturday and Texas wins on New Years then I will be a happy camper. (AP Photo/Tony Gutierrez)

Snow Day

Me, Pat, and Andy

Check out our from the day HERE.

All this last week the various weather pundits had been predicting in excess of 10 inches of for our area, grocery store shelves were being pilfered, and everyone was in general disarray in anticipation of the drastic weather on the horizon. Fortunately that never happened quite to the extreme that was being predicted.
