Both the racetrack and the railing are “floating.” Neither one are screwed into the base at all and can be easily removed in case any single piece ever needs to be replaced for any reason. They all fit snugly together and the weight of people leaning on the rail during a game eliminates any possibility of it falling apart during play.
The light colored baseboard that you see below the rail will eventually be painted a flat black and even longer down the road I will take of the folding table legs and replace them with quality pedestal legs with claw feet.
