Mildred “Grandma Peggy” Bares

I spent last week in California with mourning and celebrating the life of my grandmother. I felt this would be a good opportunity to do something for the that could last a long time. I wanted to respectfully capture the week’s events. I asked my wedding photographer, Kristin Bednarz, for some advice and this is what she had for me, “Document, document. Forget about yourself and get in close. Even if you think you are close enough, get in closer. Don’t be afraid to show emotion. Emotion drives us as human beings. We crave it whether sad or happy… remember it’s your job to tell this story.”

I hope I was able to do that.

Grandma Peggy, we all love you. Say hi to Grandpa Hub for us :)
