Last night I had my second (outdoor soccer) game this season against the Holy Melodas team. This was the team we played against three weeks ago when I seriously banged up my knee, still feeling the effects of it. Well the guy I hit had his ankle all wrapped up, so I don’t feel like a complete baby, he still needs a little extra support, too. The first half got off to a bad start with a Penalty Kick because of a bad bounce into one of our defenders arms in the box for a hand-ball. Just one of those calls you have to make, otherwise it will look bad. One of their players informed me it was the only goal they had scored so far this season, bummer. Near the end of the first half I was able to set Jesse up for a nice tap in from about 6 yards out, tieing the game at 1-1 going into the half. Then in the second half we had the wind AND we were going down hill, both of those really helped, we didn’t have any subs and they had three, so we were gettin’ winded. Needless to say that’s when we turned it on. Along with the assist in the first half I had two goals in the second half. Albert and Carlos were each able to put one away as well and that contributed to the final score of 5-1.
