Well, today it looks like the Texas Rangers felt it was necessary to get rid of one of their most popular players on the team in Kevin Mench (far left) a.k.a Shrek. They also included Laynce Nix, currently assigned to the minors, and closer Francisco Cordero, which is understandable, he had been playing sub-par baseball for quite a while now, eventually losing his closer spot to Akinori Otsuka.

The Rangers in exchange for Mench, Nix, and Cordero will receive Carlos Lee (left), and two minor leaguers, Nelson Cruz and Julian Cordero, no relation to Francisco. This all stinks pretty bad to me because I had really liked these guys. They were some of my favorite players and it was especially fun getting to see them this past March at Spring Training in Arizona. Lee better be the help we have been looking for to get ourselves into the playoffs this year.
Good luck Kevin and Laynce, everybody in Dallas is going to miss ya.
