I just got back from the various doctor’s offices I was recommended to today for my knee injury. I first started out at Dr. Smeyne’s Orthopedic office for a new patient consult on a course of action for my knee. After his evaluation that admittedly is the cause of my throbbing knee right now, he wrote me a prescription for a knee brace and physical therapy. He recommends I try physical therapy, see where that leads in the next three weeks and come back and see him on June 12.
After my appointment with him I stopped by The Brace Place at 24th/Memphis, just down the street from my office, and got fitted and am now wearing the brace that you see in the picture above. This is the most hardcore knee brace I think I’ve ever seen. I suppose we will see how it works out, hopefully for the best.
I then stopped by and set up my first appointment for physical therapy at the Owens-White Sports Medicine office. Each one of those sessions will last me approximately one hour and then will begin on Friday morning the 25th. Maybe say a few prayers that this can all be healed quickly, but I have a feeling it will be a decently lengthy process.
