The things that would make, for me, an ideal job: (some or all of these would be great)
- Preferably non-IT related
- Some kind of physical activity involved (i.e. non-sedentary)
- High paying enough for my wife to stay home with the kids
- Feeling that the work being done is significant
- Intelligence work of some kind
- Ability to serve my country in some capacity (military or civilian)
- Law enforcement or investigative aspects
- Sports or entertainment based
- On the job training
I’ve been seriously contemplating a career change for a while now and feel that I’ve painted myself into a corner, career path-wise, to where I have no experience in any of the areas in which I’d like to try my hand at.
Anyone have any suggestions, ideas, or more importantly, contacts?

Best idea is to go to grad school at night and work during the day… education is the key to advancement, I think everyone is going to tell you that. You do what you have to in order to do what you want to.
