6 in a Row

Update: If you need my new address just call me and I can give it to you.

The last week has been a pretty busy one so I haven’t had much time to write, especially with my Internet being down for the past 4+ days. That was a hassle but got it taken care of yesterday when the SuddenLink guy came and crawled around in the attic for a few hours in 100+ degree heat.

Friday and Saturday were spent various things from Laura’s house to her new apt and stuff from my house to Laura’s house. Everything went rather smoothly except for one friggin’ couch. We took off doors, tried to take off legs, tried every conceivable angle to get that couch into their apartment, but it just wasn’t happening. So Laura ended up giving it to Tim to have at the house I was all of my stuff out of.

After everyone’s stuff around on Saturday we all went to our seperate residences to begin setting the places up, which I admittedly didn’t do much of. I’m just a slight procrastinator… I consequently still have a considerable amount left to do in my room with unpacking of clothes and such.

6pm rolled around on Saturday and I had my game to go to. 95+ degree heat on dead grass fields is not as fun as it may sound. I was able to score the winning goal… until the other team scored with 2 mins left in the game to end in a tie. To tell the truth, that was pretty close to a win for us especially since we were playing 2 men down for the first 15-20 mins of the game and then only 1 man down the rest of the way. We were pretty exhausted from the heat and no subs, so I would say we did rather well.

The remainder of this last week has been spent working on small projects here and there throughout the house. Sunday had a trip to Best Buy for speaker stands for my surround sound rear channel speakers, some wireless controllers for my PS2, a Wal-Mart run for some fix-up essentials and other than that was a relaxing after Mass kind of day, definitely needed after all the and my game where I am a pro at playing recklessly and injuring myself. Monday was another trip to Wal-Mart, this time for groceries.

So with all that stuff bought I put in some of those springy door stops on the front door and the door to my bedroom to reduce punch holes in the walls from the doorknobs. I hung some new light and fan chains with a football and baseball handle on the ends of each on the light/ceiling fan in the /living room. I replaced the back porch light with a security double floodlight for more elumination in the backyard during the evenings. I cleaned the garage, kitchen, laundry room, and had Katie help with the cabinets to get organized while unpacking all the kitchen items I had moved with me. All in all it was a pretty good week, now I just need to finish my room. Did I mention my Internet is finally working again?

Oh yeah, tomorrow is Katie and I’s 6 monthaversary. Yep, I’m just as surprised as you are that she has been able to put up with me for so long. Here’s hoping we have at least 600 or so more.
