This Saturday will be my third wedding to attend in four weeks. This particular one will be for Kevin Morris and Mary Krile, soon-to-be Mary Morris. Kevin was one of those responsible for getting me involved in CSA and RA. My senior year he called me up after I had filled out the CSA census form at the end of Mass as being interested in intramurals and it was all up hill from there. Unbeknownst to us we lived next door to each other in College Park University Trails originally known as Sterling University Trails. This was way back in ’03.
As for Kevin and Mary, that’s more of a fun story. Kevin had really been crushin’ on Mary for a while and he asked her out in one of the coolest ways possible. He borrowed her camera and took several pictures with it so that when she got it developed she would flip through the pictures and they would say “Will you go out with me?” With a perplexed look on Mary’s face for a picture during studying or something and then another picture right after it of Kevin crossing his fingers and giving an “I hope this works” face without her knowing what they were for until she saw them developed in sequence. The next best part is that I was with Kevin when Mary called him realizing what the pictures meant and I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone smile so big, he was definitely pleased with the answer.
Kevin moved to Austin to be a big bucks engineer in Jan. of ’05 and Mary finished up her school here over the past year. They signed a lease for an apt. just a few weeks ago and will look forward to making it a nice little place once the Lubbock wedding is complete, they are done with their honeymoon and head back to Austin. I will miss both of them and wish them luck.
This weekend is going to be another good one, I can tell.
