Here is Katie’s brand spankin’ new, as of last night, 2009 Toyota Matrix in Nautical Blue Metallic. It is of the base model variety, 1.8liter, 4 cylinder engine. It will help us save on gas to and from Lubbock for all the Texas Tech home football games we have season tickets for. Katie loves having a working A/C now as the norm high temp in the DFW area during the summer is 100+.

This is the sight that Katie and I came home to after Mass just now. We opened the fridge and this salad bowl had exploded and the potato salad she had made on Friday was already leaking out of it. I guess that’s what we get for registering at Target?

It will be bring your own beer/meat/buns, I’ve got the grill that we will fire up and cook whatever you bring. We will have sodas/juices for those not drinking alcohol. For the gentlemen, and few ladies, that would like to we will also be having a game of poker, once again the first of many, to immediately follow dinner.

This.Movie.Was.Awesome. Katie and I went to AMC 24 Stonebriar and it rocked the house. Our showing was Sunday at 10am. First show of the day. It was packed. The fullest I’ve ever seen a Sunday showing of any movie and any time of the day, let alone the first movie being shown. It’s the most intense, and best, movie I’ve seen so far this year and I predict it to stay that way. Look for one of the early scenes with The Joker and his “magic trick.” It was ridiculous. Whatever you do, don’t miss this movie in theaters.
I finally got around to combining Katie and I’s movie collections. We now have over 300, it’s kinda ridiculous. That’s just DVD’s. Katie has about another 25-30 VHS tapes. That just means I’ll have to go get a DVD recorder and some blank DVD’s to copy them over so I can get rid of those space consuming bastions of 80’s technology.
