Since today was Katie’s last day at Levelland ISD she wanted to go out for a quick dinner and drinks. We went to Chilis because she had a few coupons for free chips and salsa. Well, we were both munching on the chips and we picked one up and low and behold what do we find? This “volume” knob, or at least what I thought was a volume knob.
Once our waiter came back we pointed it out to him not wanting them to have to forgo listening to music in the back. Their manager pointed out that it was one of the temperature control knobs for the the chip warmer.
I guess it was ok since we didn’t pay for the chips anyways.
Way to go Jeff and Erika! Saturday these two got married at Holy Spirit Catholic Church here in Lubbock, TX. The reception was at D’Venue off Iola Ave. and had live music which was awesome. They are most likely out on their honeymoon right now but I thought I’d put this pic of them up.
As I was making my monthly donation to my brother’s monastery in Italy I decided to poke around a little to see what they had and I came across a bunch of pictures of him and I thought I’d share those with you. Four weeks from today my family will begin arriving in Lubbock for Katie and I’s wedding and part of her family will already be here. Three more days after that I’ll be married and enjoying the best party of my life with her… and then it’s off to the Caribbean for our honeymoon which we are both pretty stoked about. We are also very much looking forward to seeing all you friends and family.

P.S. Katie can’t make an emo face in pictures to save her life, she always screws it up by smiling.
I checked the bank account this morning and since I filed electronically and opted for direct deposit for my tax refund my tax rebate check showed up right on time! It also was for the full amount allotted to a single person making less than $75,000. I immediately put the $600 onto my credit card to get that paid down quicker in light of the whole marriage thing coming up soon. I know that’s not what it’s meant for but it’s easily what’s most financially beneficial to ME.
For the third straight year the San Jose Sharks have failed to make it out of the second round of the playoffs. The Dallas Stars finally put the Sharks to bed off of a PP goal by Brenden Morrow 9:03 into the fourth overtime period, the third longest in Stars history. The goal by Morrow gave the Stars a 2-1 win for a 4-2 series win.
The Stars drew first blood in the second period to break a 0-0 tie but the Sharks drew even in the third to send it to eventually quadruple overtime. The game started at 8pm Sun. 5/4 and ended in the early morning hours of Mon. 5/5.
The Stars are now slotted to play the Detroit Red Wings, the team with this year’s best regular season record, for the Western Conference Finals starting Thursday night in Detroit. Go Stars!
