Last night I finally had the chance to watch the newest episode of the second season of Heroes called Volume 2: Generations - Four Months Ago. So far the first seven episodes of the season had become pretty lame with not much going on and boring story lines here and there. For those of you that haven’t seen it I wont go into detail but we finally get a good cliffhanger at the end of this one which had become such a great trademark of the show from last season. I am actually looking forward to seeing the next episode in a week. Now that it seems the show has finally hit it’s stride for the season it’s a little disappointing to know it’s only going to last for another couple of episodes because of the WGA strike not allowing for more production. Hopefully that is resolved soon and the cast and crew can get back to work.

UPDATE: More pictures of the family can be seen here and here.

Mark and Laura welcomed little Kolbe into their family at 2:21am on Friday, November 9, 2007. Katie and I knew that the two of them would be inundated with friends and family for the first few days so we decided we’d wait until today to go visit. All three of them are doing well. If Katie wasn’t having a bit of a cold this would definitely be her holding Kolbe instead of me. Congratulations Mark and Laura!

Apparently Kristin worked some magic pretty quick this morning to get these photos up. Click on those photos that were taken horizontal, sideways, widescreen, whatever to see the full size.

There are even more than this. Katie and I will show them to everyone once they are done, I’m sure.

Kristin, our photographer, was a bit tired from all the laughing going on during this session that she just put up one little picture to get everyone salivating for the main course. I’ll have another post later today or early tomorrow with the rest of the shots.

Andy and I were coming up with a plan for the weekend and decided that a Texas Tech vs. Texas game watching party and then poker to immediately follow would be the best course of action.
As far as the game goes, it’s on ABC with a 2:30pm kick-off. So, those of you not making the trip to Austin to watch the game can come over around 2ish. The food situation: bring whatever you want to eat or drink. If you’ll be grilling please bring the necessary things in which to do that with, we won’t be providing food this time. The grill will definitely be on, though.
For the poker game we thought it would be a good plan to have that start somewhat close to the end of the Tech game with any number of other college games going on in the background, preferably a Big 12 matchup.
See you all Saturday. As always, call if you need directions or have any other questions.

This story comes to you courtesy of Chris Kellerman, a good friend of mine who is currently in Washington, DC on a political internship.
Halloween morning comes along and one of Chris’ co-workers asked him, “Hey, are you going to the drag race tonight?” So that get’s Chris thinking, “DRAG RACE! How fun, my love of Fast and the Furious will finally be fulfilled in REAL LIFE.” So he says, “No… tell me about it.” The co-worker replies, “Well, a bunch of drag queens race in heels!” Chris caught completely off guard then flatly replies, “No, no I will not be going to that.”
Haha, I could actually hear the disappointment in Chris’ voice when he told me this story. He got really amped a few weeks ago when he heard there was a possibility of The Fast and the Furious 4 coming out starring both Vin Diesel and Paul Walker, so I can understand his disappointment.
