Tags: Red Raiders, TechAfter I was done with all my physical therapy today I got the flexion and extension degree angles for my knee measured against the progress I had made last week. I now have full extension of my knee plus a few extra degrees of backwards like my right knee. I gained seven more degrees of flexion in my knee which leaves me 13 degrees before it matches the 151 degrees of my right knee. The physical therapists are happy with my progress and gave me the same exercises we’ve been doing at the PT office so that I can work on them at home on my off days. My PT said that this is where the progress is much slower, but at least now I can start working on rebuilding my hamstring that they took two tendons out of for the graft to replace my ACL.

Version 2.2.2 of the Wordpress software recently came out and I needed to update because of some serious security fixes that were made from the previous version I was using and it didn’t go EXACTLY according to plan. Once I was finished the upgrade had broken my front page for a few minutes until I went to the K2 site and updated their theme to the latest version as well. Once I finished that all was well on the front face of this blog but the header is gone. I’m pretty sure that part is my own fault by rashly disabling (read: deleting) the older version of the K2 theme before making sure the new one worked just right first. I’ll have to wait until I get back to the office tomorrow where some of my files are stored before I can back up the most recent header I’ve been using. It may inspire me to create a new one altogether, if I have time, and usually I do, I may do just that. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused anyone running across here during the upgrade.

Zach just sent me the most awesome NCAA Div-IA football schedule I have ever seen. Well, to tell you the truth I’ve seen it before, in previous years to project those schedules, but it’s been a while. By no means am I or Zach taking credit for this, I just thought it was really cool. It has the most current picture of the team’s helmet to represent themselves on another team’s schedule. There are worksheets for all the major conferences: ACC, Big East, Big 10-leven, Big 12, C-USA, Independent (i.e. Notre Dame, etc.), MAC, Mountain West, Pac 10, SEC, Sun Belt, and WAC. It also has a worksheet for Games of the Week with each time slots match up. Here’s the link: 2007 college football schedule.xls. May it drain many a color laser printer it’s toner.
Today I completed my third full week of physical therapy for my knee. The physical therapists tell me that I am progressing very well having one or two degrees left to gain in my extension and between 35-45 degrees left to gain in my flexion. Below are two great videos on YouTube that accurately show and describe the procedures they performed on my knee, both being ACL replacement/reconstruction and lateral meniscus repair. Enjoy.
