Earlier this week I was looking over my credit card statement and decided to take a look at the accumulation of my reward points. Apparently I had enough points to get myself a $250 gift certificate to Circuity City. I looked at what other products were available and the iPod nano was but only the 2gb version. I looked at the Circuit City website to see that if I cashed those points for the $250 gift certificate instead of picking the 2gb nano online that I could actually go to the store and get the 8gb in the store. I thought that would be a better idea and picked up the black one during lunch today and just finished loading plenty of music on it. It’s pretty nice, I definitely like it and there’s more than enough room on it still, about 50%, for me to add lots of music over time. Now I’ve got plenty of tunes and a good mp3 player for when I’m working out and rehabbing my knee now.

I had heard about these four colored poker cards for a while now and had thought they looked cool so I finally decided to order some. They are made by Modiano Cards and are 100% plastic. This means that if they get anything on them you can wipe them clean with a damp cloth and they won’t degrade. I ordered two sets, each set having two decks, one blue back and one red back. As you can see the diamonds are blue and clubs are green. It will help distinguish the difference in suits and plus they just look freakin’ cool. The next time we have a poker night with two tables then there will be two four color decks at each table to be used. Be there!
Tags: PokerI teased Katie afterward but she created our TheKnot.com page for our upcoming wedding already so I thought I would share that with you so that everyone may stay caught up with the proceedings if you so desire: Jared and Katie’s page.
We also got our budget this weekend and should hopefully be reserving both the church and reception venue with monetary deposits this week.
