Movin’ on Up

Friday/Saturday Chris and I moved into his new house. I am not even near being unpacked either. I have still yet to make my bed, how sad is that? While we were things in on Saturday the Dish guys set everything up for us, they really worked hard. We rewarded them with plenty of drinks and Taco Bell. I don’t think I could thank everyone enough for all their help this weekend. After all the was done we had a very successful game of on my new table (I forgot to take ). Everyone liked it quite a bit and we were done by about 12:30, one of our earliest finishing times. It seemed alot later since everyone got up really early to move. Chris and I plan on having a house warming party as soon as we get everything settled.

R.I.P. Khaki

Khaki

Saturday night (Edit: Sunday 4:30am) Khaki died from some kind of dog cancer my Mom said. My Dad stayed up with her for her last few breaths and then cleaned her up and buried her in the backyard on Sunday with a good bit of concrete on top so that nothing could get to her. She was our dog for the past 10+ years if I remember correctly. I saw her just last weekend and would have seen her again this upcoming weekend.

Update from my Dad:

She was not in any pain and was with us at home when it happened. We laid beside her in the kitchen and room all evening. She wouldn’t fall asleep, as if she was trying to hang on to each moment. We don’t really know what caused her death. It may have been a cancer or some kind, probably in her bones or lungs. She was very anemic and had little energy.

She was in her late 70’s – early 80’s for dog years. Bigger dogs tend to live shorter lives and so should not have been a big surprise. It just didn’t seem to be time for us to expect it, though. Especially, the last two months she has been a great comfort to me on our walks in the morning. She was a good companion and always ready to greet me with a smile. Just think, wouldn’t each of us want our to describe us that way? Share a memory of her with us.

To life, with all my love,

Dad

Good bye, Khaki.
