3 Down and 1/3

PokerSaturday night was another night and we had one of our best turnouts of the semester. It was great to have Erick “CK” Venzor back in the hub city and joining us for a night of cards, it was really good to see him after he had moved away. He’s interviewing for jobs in the area so hopefully he’ll find something. We had over 10 people playing on two different tables and Andy and I took it down to the end at 2am. I was responsible for taking three players out of the game over the course of the night, two coming on one hand. It got to a point where Andy took out Pat giving him a pretty much double chip lead on me and we decided with it being so late that we’d split it in thirds with Andy taking 2/3. It was a good night, definitely a fun time having everyone over to the house for an entertaining evening of cards.

Knocked Up

Knocked Up

If any of you can stomach the excessive use of the F word and some very off color jokes then you will find Knocked Up hilarious. I know I did. Heck, even Katie said, “It was very funny. They could have used less language though.” She told me that Laura also shared that sentiment. I know that Mark and I laughed ’til we cried, or at least I did, on several occasions. If you can handle the aforementioned hurdles then go see it, this would definitely be worth your time. I think it shows a somewhat real side to the whole situation, but then again, I could be completely wrong on that point, but anyways, Enjoy.

84 No More

Katie and I just got back into town from Houston for Joseph and Melanie’s wedding and now it’s storming like crazy, so here’s a bit of a rundown of the weekend:

Thursday: After I cut out of the office I stopped by the house real quick to pack before my flight to Houston Hobby on Southwest. Pat graciously gave me a ride to the airport and I got to “pre-board” because of my jacked up knee with my brace. Earlier in the week while flying back to Lubbock from Houston one of the flight attendants scolded me for regularly boarding and sitting in an emergency exit row. I made it safely to Houston where Katie and her mom picked me up and then we spent the night in Katy preparing for the festivities ahead.

With One Hitch

Katie and I

Some from the weekend can be found HERE.

I said to Joseph earlier today “I hope everything goes off without a hitch,” to which Joseph replied, “Well, I hope with one hitch.” Joseph and Melanie’s wedding went very well. Everything was awesome, Katie looked beautiful and as usual, my parents had a great time. That is wedding number three for Katie and I this year with at least three more to come. I hope everyone had a great weekend and an awesome time at the wedding/reception for those in attendance.

Sittin’ on the Dock…

Bay House

I just thought that I would share my view from the porch of Katie’s Aunt and Uncle’s bay house with everyone right now. I hope y’all are having a great weekend and I’ll have more up about Joseph and Melanie’s wedding/reception later this evening or tomorrow some time.
