Mop of Wrath

MoiSo today I got an e-mail back from a guy that Andy knew of who works in the office here in Lubbock after about two-ish weeks of no word from him. He invited me to stop by the office and he’d be more than happy to chat with me. Well, as anyone who has seen me in the last 8-9 months would know my hair is ridiculously long and in no way office visit appropriate. During lunch I decided it was time to do something about it. I went to Howard’s Barber Shop on University and 34th to get the mopped chopped. I am glad that I finally did it with summer coming up and my head is considerably cooler now as a result.

Feldertrout

Today was Chad and Elizabeth’s wedding. This was one I had been looking forward to since last May when I heard of their engagement. The reason I had been most looking forward to it is because they were my RA parents when I retreated RA29 back in Oct. ‘03. They hadn’t quite started dating yet before hand but had already caught each other’s eyes. It was just really cool to see two of the many people that have had an impact on my growth in my faith life get married. Congratulations ‘Mom and Dad.’

New Look

As those of you who have visited the site today will have noticed a few things are different. I decided it was time for a change and then looked around for a design that was to my liking. I am pleased with this new layout and made a quick and dirty custom header with the Fight Club font. This will just be something to last through the weekend and after that I will have some more time to on a nicer looking heading, maybe even re-incorporate the old design header into this one with a bit of a change. Anyways, look around, tell me what you like, what you don’t like, and I’ll take that into consideration. Have a good weekend. God Bless.

PT in AM and TGIF

I started the day off with a bit of , then some physical therapy at the Owens-White Rehab Center. That was good, the nice PT gave me all the exercises in a packet so that I could do all of it by myself and on my own time. It will save me money in weekly or bi-weekly office visits and I can just go do them at The Rec since I’ve already renewed my membership there for the summer.

Bionic Man

Edge Knee BraceI just got back from the various doctor’s offices I was recommended to today for my knee injury. I first started out at Dr. Smeyne’s Orthopedic office for a new patient consult on a course of action for my knee. After his evaluation that admittedly is the cause of my throbbing knee right now, he wrote me a prescription for a knee brace and physical therapy. He recommends I try physical therapy, see where that leads in the next three weeks and come back and see him on June 12.

Partially There

ACLToday I was lucky enough to get the results back from my MRI that I had taken of my left knee last Friday. My PCP (Primary Care Physician) called me with the report that I had torn my ACL, strained my MCL with damage nearly torn, had large areas of bone marrow edema (deep tissue bone bruises), and moderate size joint effusion (severe joint bruising). I did this all on April 15th during a game and then re-injured it during a fall in my shed a week later.
