Eyes on Eternity

Raider Awakening #36There is very real truth in having to put in good effort into something to get something back. I had always heard this from people but it didn’t hit me until this weekend at RA36. When I staffed RA33 I didn’t have the best experience, I was just blah and “just there” the whole weekend and it wasn’t particularly enjoyable.

1,000 Words

I have been slacking for a long time when it comes to all my and last weekend I figured it was time to do something about that. So here, in all their glory are my photo albums from the last seven years. There is over 30 albums worth of material here, eat your heart out.

WARNING: You may have a severe allergic reaction to the retardedness of a lot of these photos.

It Does a Body Good

Life has been good over this last week and here are a few reasons why:

I formally started in my new position at , preparing all IT related things for the new hospital opening. I played with Andy until 3am Sunday morning and broke even on the night by getting my $5 buy-in back for coming in second. I had my first game with Fishbones in almost six months, scored a goal, and we won the game. I also bid on Sarah and Jenni’s date at the CSA Date Auction which included dinner at Stella’s, Cold Stone coupons, free games of bowling, and free appetizers at Joe’s Crab Shack, but I’ll have to share it all with Pat, hahaha.

All in all it was a pretty good week.

First and Two

Today and yesterday were my first two days in the new Covenant Specialty Hospital at 20th/Memphis. I have placed and set up the phones for a four story hospital with over 50 patient rooms and the 4th floor isn’t even completed yet. I am officially exhausted, but it’s been well worth it. Next week I will start the admins into their offices and setting up the rest of the pc’s for all nurses stations and exam rooms. It’s going to be a lot of but quoting a co-worker I am “being recognized for my ethic and proven track record of service in being trusted with a four story building” all to myself. I am still looking forward to having my own office though.

It’s Colder Than A…

More Snow

This is quite easily the coldest winter I’ve experienced since to Lubbock and most likely the coldest since I’ve moved to Texas, period, since 1991. I definitely have never seen this much . So here’s just another picture I took while walking to the office this morning. Please excuse the poor quality, it’s from my phone’s camera. Everybody stay warm and stay safe.
