Good Morning! This is the site that I woke up to this morning on our back porch, a sweet snow drift about 7-8″ high. The current temp is 19 degrees with a nice bone freezing windchill of 4 degrees. I went to bed last night around midnight with it just starting to snow with the temp at about 25 degrees. I woke up this morning at 7am to this! Now it’s time to get ready for work, I’ve already shoveled the driveway, now it’s time to brave the tundra that is Lubbock, TX.
I hope you all picked up on the extreme exaggeration.

I was told that the change back from Italy to the U.S. is alot easier than the other way around, but I don’t know if I buy it. After flying for 11 hours yesterday I fell asleep at 7:30pm, woke up at 3:30am, and haven’t been able to get back to sleep and it’s now nearly 5:20am. Oh well, I’ve been semi-productive.

So I leave Lubbock for Italy tomorrow. First I’ll fly to my parents house in Dallas. Spend the night there and we all leave from DFW Airport on a Lufthansa flight to Frankfurt, Germany, and then another hop over to Rome, Italy. This will be my first time out of the country. I got a passport for the very first time a few weeks ago, so that’s pretty cool. Our first couple of days will be spent running around Rome, then off for a few days to Norcia where Jesse’s monastery is.

Well, Tech’s game on Saturday makes for the third game this year that they have not scored a single point in the second half of a game. All three of those games coming against Top 25 ranked teams (TCU, UT, OU), two in the Big 12 South (UT, OU). People will say that it’s our defense’s fault for not having that big stop when we needed it. I think this game rests on our offense this time. Our defense getting 4 turnovers against OU should give us enough opportunities to win the game. We were 15/22 passing in the first half, ended the game 26/48. So the entire second half was an exercise in futility when going 11/26 passing. When we have less than 300 total yards, as we did this weekend, we most likely will lose unless our defense doesn’t allow more than 10 points, which will never happen with our current talent and defensive scheme. All I can say is that Tech has effectively dropped the soap for the 5th time this season bringing us to 6-5 (3-4). Plain and simple, we will not be able to win a football game without scoring a single point in half of it.

Ok, I couldn’t come up with a good title so I used IMDB’s random quote generator and came across this one from Jim Carrey in The Mask. Now time for some more randomness:
Toopy 3.0 is back, and 6.0 can no longer be found.
I have become addicted to Guitar Hero on the PlayStation2, thanks Kevin.
Make your own South Park character here.
By this time in two weeks I will have been in Italy already for 3 days.
