WW: Wes, Wes, Wes!

My buddy Andy just sent me this text message: “Abby and i just ate alongside WW at Moe’s.” Maybe these guys are regular people after-all, we shall see. Even from the stories I’ve heard about Wes from one of my boy’s, I still would take him over Kliff, and so it seems would some NFL teams as well… ouch.

KK: Cool or Tool? You decide

From watching the news yesterday and seeing Kliff Kingsbury and Wes Welker back in the Hub City it reminded me of their glory days at Texas of which I was here in Lubbock for all of them. Anyways, I can’t say if I’ve ever been a real big fan of KK as a guy off the football field. He self-admittedly loves Britney Spears, tried to get close to Jessica Simpson in New Orleans and now is trying to relive those glory days here in Lubbock on a little break from the NFL before he starts camp with his 5th team (Buffalo Bills) in 3 years. I just happened to run into The King last night while at Chimy’s here in Lubbock celebrating a good friend and old roommate’s, Joe, departure from Lubbock to begin his career in Ft. Worth. He was sporting to 2-3 day old scruff, because that’s cool, and rockin’ the brim beanie-style hat. Which coincidentally is just as cool. He just so happened to have a gaggle of girls around him at the time, no surprise. So I want you all to tell me, what do you think of ol’ Kliff, cool or tool?

Great Balls of Fire

Man is it friggin’ hot outside. By the time I get out of the office today it will be at least if not over 100 degrees. So to reflect the recently oppressive heat I felt like changing the header to look like fire, ‘cuz it’s dang hot.

6 in a Row

Update: If you need my new address just call me and I can give it to you.

The last week has been a pretty busy one so I haven’t had much time to write, especially with my Internet being down for the past 4+ days. That was a hassle but got it taken care of yesterday when the SuddenLink guy came and crawled around in the attic for a few hours in 100+ degree heat.

Friday and Saturday were spent various things from Laura’s house to her new apt and stuff from my house to Laura’s house. Everything went rather smoothly except for one friggin’ couch. We took off doors, tried to take off legs, tried every conceivable angle to get that couch into their apartment, but it just wasn’t happening. So Laura ended up giving it to Tim to have at the house I was all of my stuff out of.

After everyone’s stuff around on Saturday we all went to our seperate residences to begin setting the places up, which I admittedly didn’t do much of. I’m just a slight procrastinator… I consequently still have a considerable amount left to do in my room with unpacking of clothes and such.

Weezer - Beverly Hills

Where I come from isn’t all that great
My automobile is a piece of crap
My fashion sense is a little whack
And my are just as screwy as me

Ok, so none of that really applies to me except maybe the fashion sense and , ‘cuz we’re all a little strange in our own ways, right? Just listening to this song while doing a little remote assistance here at on one screen and typing this on the other. I will be into a new house starting tomorrow from the house that I’ve lived in for a year now, so it’s kind of cool to look back over the last year at events in and around the house.

It really all started with a road trip to Dallas for Mark and I to pick up all the furniture and odds and ends that my parents so graciously donated. Adam and Mark mostly helped with me into the house. Chris Hiestand was great in helping me bring my brand new big screen into the house of which Andy was quite fond of. He dubbed the house “Jared’s - Home of the 52 incher.” We got things going with a House Warming Party. That turned out to be the first of MANY parties/get-togethers to come at that house.

Little by little

I have finally, and tediously I might add, finished uploading my backlog of posts that I still had laying around on my web server dating back to February 15th, 2003. Some are interesting, most are not, but I figured that I would make it a complete update of all the content I still had access to, now if I were you I would keep checking back for when I finish the Photos section, which should be updated daily and of which I will alert everyone to it’s completion (now nearly 20 pages as of 7/11) and to the updating of Site Archives and the old Quote of the Week section, so, until next time…
