Team America: World Police

Where to start? It’s been a month and a half since I last updated so I figured I might do so after getting scolded by Megan because “Some very important stuff has happened since then.” Let’s take a trip down memory lane for the last six weeks of my life.

Andy and I dubbed a new addition to the long list of Toopy(s). Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the newest couple into the fold, Joseph and Melanie: Toopy 7.0 – The Jerkface Edition. We are all so proud of them, so give them a big congratulatory hug the next time you see them. Along that note I am also working on another very covert addition to the list, more on that to come in the next few months.

“Derk derk Allah, muhammed jihad.”

January 21, 2006: A beautiful woman of God took a risk and agreed to go on a date with a guy like me. For the sake of brevity, things have been amazing ever since. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined having such an awesome Christ-centered relationship with someone so beautiful in mind, body, and soul. We hold each other accountable and aren’t afraid to tell each other what’s up. I can’t imagine sharing myself this way with anyone else. Becoming the spiritual leader of this relationship is a very big undertaking which has helped me grow and understand so many more things, I pray daily that this all continues and that I never disappoint.

Somehow Kevin convinced me to get a dog. His name is Max and he is a purebred Golden Retreiver. I lucked out with having him be a year and a half old already, fully house trained and he loves to play fetch, always a plus. Katie likes to pretend that he is only my dog, but she would lay claim to him in a heartbeat because she fell in love with him as soon as she saw him, not to mention the fact that he spends about half his time at her place anyways.

Come Back Next Week is another one of those amazing blessings in my life that I don’t know what I would do without.

I watched the entire Season One of Smallville while I was sick and being taken care of by my awesome girlfriend. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has any passing interest in Superman, it’s pretty cool. I look forward to watching the rest of the seasons.

was awesome as always. My talk went better than I had expected. I was nervous as hell, didn’t eat two meals before I gave it, and didn’t remember hardly anything I said afterwards. Mark told me that as long as I reached one retreater with my talk then I will have done my job. I gave my talk Saturday and Sunday a retreater came up to me and thanked me for it. I was so pumped to reach my one retreater because I was so anxious about not getting the point across well enough, but that simple thank you alleviated all fears, it was pretty great. And anyone that listened to my parents Marriage talk knows that I am extremely blessed to have what I consider to be the most wonderful parents ever. I can’t take this kind of stuff for granted.

Monday night was one of the most powerful conversations I have ever had with someone. Katie and I were at CTK for four hours and talked about everything we could have talked about. It’s so refreshing to know exactly where each other is at without any doubts, the understanding of where we want this to go, and what we plan to do in order to get there. I don’t think I could have lucked out any more with such an amazing gal picking me out of the myriad of guys to share this part of herself with. I will cherish it and not let it get away. I try my best, but there really are no words, anything I can say is less than adequate.
