Awesome Weekend…

Friday: So, I get off and go to Daily Mass. Then there is nothing to do because not much of anything is planned. Well, we end up rounding up a pretty good size group to go see Shark Tale at 9:30pm at Tinseltown. The moviegoers: Me, Brian, Laura, Beth, Abby, and Holly. It was really pretty funny, I definitely enjoyed myself, and I’m pretty sure that by the others reactions that they did, too. After the movie Laura is taking me back to Pope’s, which is where I left my car, when Beth calls and says we need to turn right back around because Abby’s car got broken into and they need a boy to wait with them in the parking lot until the cops come. So we head back and it takes forever for any cops to arrive. It turns out that all that was stolen was her radar detector, she had money, digital camera, and new clothing to be returned to Express all in plain sight. So after the police shows up and he takes Abby’s statement she follows me and Brian to a car wash and we vacuum out her entire car because glass was everywhere.

Saturday: I wake up around 12 and have already missed alot of the first quarter of the /OU game and we are only down 0-7, not bad against Oklahoma. Turns out that our defense plays probably their best game of the season but we still lose 13-28. After the game me and Brian go car shopping because he is looking to find something with a little bit better gas mileage due to all the crazy oil prices. So we test drive a VW Passat and a Toyota Camry. He seemed real pleased with the Camry and is seriously thinking about it. I’ve always liked them, very nice and durable cars. After that we meet up at the Student Center with Sadie after Saturday Mass because she would be leaving on Sunday to go out of town for the Willie Nelson/Pat Green concert somewhere. All three of us then head over to Chimy’s for dinner. Brian and I both get the beef nachos and Sadie got a quesadilla. All I can say is that Chimy’s makes some freakin’ HUGE nacho plates, insanely big. While there we call some people up and by the time we leave the group had swelled by one Mark, Cristi, and Angela. After Chimy’s we head to the Beer Garden to watch Jordan’s band play. Cristi decides sometime around midnight that it’s time to go home and she had driven but went out to her car and she was blocked in and couldn’t leave. Then we decide to devise this genius prank to call David to come pick her up because she has had a little too much, she hadn’t, still all prank. Well, the humor was lost on David and he was a little peeved, but the air would later be cleared up today, so everything is copasetic(sp?). We ended up staying for the entire set til’ 1:30. It was a GREAT time, something I am definitely looking forward to again. The lovely ladies muggin’ for the camera.

Sunday: I get a call from Nathan at 8:00AM!!! “Hey, uh, I’m in Seminole still and am about an hour and a half away, are we still having practice?” Nice, I love being woken up at 8 on a Sunday morning. Anyways, I fall right back asleep and he calls me again at 11:45am after just getting back in town and asks who all is at practice, it was scheduled to start at 11:30am. I then go check the fields, while still driving Brian’s Tahoe from last night because I was the DD. No one is at the fields so I go take his Tahoe back to him and Mark had just gotten out of 11:00am Mass and so we all end up going to Josie’s for lunch. Eventually Mark and Brian’s mom joins us and we all have a good talk. Then it’s time for Brian to drop me back off at the pad so I can go pick up Kathryn from the airport. I drop her off at her apt. and to Andy’s delight pull a “moooooooove, you’re welcome!” on Abby’s computer. All that means is that I clean it up for her because it was having a few problems. Then I go home, get ready for Mass, go to the pre-Mass rosary, Mass, then the post Mass dinner at Rosa’s for the first time in quite a while. After that we take Angela back to her truck at the Student Center and Beth calls us from Wal-Mart and tells us that she is buying Tommy Boy and that we need to watch it, so I invite her, Brian, Joe K., and Holly L. over to my place and we watch Tommy Boy. Now it is time for bed and may God Bless You ALL in the upcoming week.

TGIF

I promise no novel today. After yesterday was the usual trip to Daily Mass. I made sure to put my clothes in the dryer before hand so that they would be ready for folding upon my return. So once I got back I finished my laundry and while doing so I opened my patio door and just listened to the pouring , something soothing about that to me. I’ve always been very relaxed whenever it is raining or if there are thunderstorms going crazy outside. After all the was over there were some beautiful rainbows! It may be a little bit hard to see but trust me, there is a double rainbow, the easy one to see and then one to its left. And right then I knew something good was going to happen and then Beth called me and told me she passed a nursing retest she had to take! Anyways, after all the laundry was finished I watched part of the Presidential Debates before heading off to The Rock at 8:30. It was amazing, we actually started on time, it was pretty cool. There were definitely good times had last night, almost always is. Here’s a pic of me and Kathryn just muggin’ as usual. After The Rock we all switched name tags and over the next week you have to pray for that person, I got Annie, my wife for RA. So along with praying for the kids I will have at RA, I’ll also be praying for my wife, I really like the idea of switching name tags, props to whoever came up with that idea. After that I went over to Mark and Brian’s and we started watching Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. We didn’t even make it half way through before Mark and Brian hit the sack and I fell asleep on the couch. Then, this morning I scared the crap outta Mark because he didn’t know that I had slept on the couch and so we began our day with another turn of pre- 6:55am Daily Mass. I’m not quite sure what is in store for the rest of the day, there are rumblings of going to the South Plains Fair and also rumors of going to watch a friend of Brian’s play an opening gig for another band. Anyways, whatever you guys do today, may God Bless You and Keep You, and if you think I might want to join, give me a holler!
